A new Starbucks was added to Ozark Technical Community College over the summer, and many students say it has had a popular impact.

“Starbucks officially opened on July 7,” said Starbucks employee Miranda Stahl. “I Love working at Starbucks with such great people.”

According to Stahl, the busiest time of day for Starbucks is around lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Most students love having the new Starbucks on campus this year.

“Loves that new Starbucks!” Middle College junior Heather Friend said.

MC junior Kinsey Calvin agreed. “I don’t have a Starbucks at my home school, so l love that I can come here and have a coffee every morning,” she said.

Brittany Lander, a MC junior, finds the caffeine a practical perk for doing better in school.

“It’s great getting to come to school and having coffee to wake you up, and a good way to start the day,” Lander said.

The new Starbucks did have a small impact on the lunch procedure for some Middle College students.

“Lunch distribution from Springfield Public Schools has been affected by the new Starbucks,” said MC Director Tiffany Brunner. “They didn’t think there would be enough room for both, so SPS had to slightly move over to make room for Starbucks.”

Brunner also likes having Starbucks on campus.

“It’s a pretty big selling point,” Brunner said.
