If you enjoy eating breakfast at McDonald’s but don’t enjoy getting out of bed as early, you are in luck: Oct. 6 McDonald’s started serving breakfast all day.
According to Matthew Williams, a current employee at a local McDonald’s in Springfield. McDonald’s, a well-known fast food restaurant, is serving select items off the breakfast menu all day.
“McDonald’s will only serve pancakes, McMuffins, Cinnamelt, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, and bacon,” Williams said.
As a consequence of adding such a drastic change to the menu, some regular lunch items will be sacrificed.
“We will be getting rid of all Premium Wraps, Quarter Pounder deluxe, all Bacon Clubs, and Pulled Pork Sandwiches,” Williams said.
Regular customers and fans of McDonald’s breakfast know the struggle of arriving just a few minutes late and not being able to receive their breakfast. According to Williams, this is the main cause of starting the all-day breakfast menu.
“We normally have tons of people coming in after breakfast is over, asking for breakfast and they’re too late,” Williams said.
One big question many customers are asking is, “Will all restaurants be serving breakfast all day?”
“As far as I know, all McDonald’s restaurants in the Springfield area will be offering breakfast on the all-day menu,” Williams said.
According to Fortune magazine, business experts say the only way to know the success of McDonald’s new strategy is to observe and evaluate how the long-term sales of breakfast items affects the restaurant chain’s revenues and profits.
